Cindy Day is a Canadian television meteorologist. She was born on March 20, 1967(age 46) in Ontario. She is currently associated with CTV based at Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Cindy’s birth took place in a dairy farm. As a child she was always fascinated with weather and was frequently questioning her grandmother about it. It can also be said that her grandmother played a huge role in influencing her decision to become a meteorologist. She went to McGill University and earned degree in meteorology. She also attended Lakehead University.
Cindy first began her career in media through CFRA radio in Ottawa, where she anchored Ottawa AM at that time she was the only meteorologist at Canada as a full-time worker at a private radio station. She worked as a technician to operate meteorological instruments in environment Canada, where she gave information to the pilots of MacDonald Cartier Airport at Ottawa. She have also served as a co-anchor for Global Maritimes during 1990s and co-anchored Newscast along with Allan Rowe.
Cindy started working for CTV from September 2007; she replaced famous meteorologist Peter Coade as he decided to resign from CTV in order to work for CBC television.
Cindy got a threatening email in October 29, 2007, according to the email she was to be murdered live on television. Later the man was found and accused but was not found guilty. Cindy has also written and published a book titled Grandma Says - Weather Lore by Cindy Day and it is her first and last book till date. She has her own business company named Weather by Day which provides seasons forecast and data along with reports through radio to western Quebec and eastern Ontario.
Cindy day is very private about her personal life so details about her which are related about her boyfriend, marriage, children, husband is still unknown. Cindy day does not want to expose her personal life in public. She loves eating chocolate and admits that she is addicted to it. She is fond of cooking for her family members and friends. Her favorite winter sport is skiing and ice hockey. She is also good at playing golf and likes to do gardening. Out of her many hobbies collecting umbrellas is one of them as it is rainy in Maritimes where she is currently residing. She usually makes frequent trips to spa when she is stressed from work. She is bilingual and can speak French and English smoothly.
